Rob McCarthy

Rob McCarthy is an experienced brand builder bringing more than 20 years combined client-side and agency experience to his role leading Marks, SGS & Co’s brand design and experience agency as well as the 3D-CGI Center of Excellence.

Rob spent a good portion of his career building brands for Anheuser-Busch InBev where he held a variety of positions including vice president of Budweiser & Bud Light in the US and also shepherding beloved Canadian brands like Alexander Keith’s and Kokanee. Passionate about delivering impact to clients, Rob has an innate ability to cultivate the right teams, talent and expertise to execute on brand vision. While leading Budweiser, Rob launched the award-winning multimedia “Made in America” music festival with Jay-Z. Rob has always been a believer in the role of packaging in the marketing mix, inclusive of developing the “Folds of Honor” Fourth of July program, which delivered the biggest gains Budweiser had seen in decades by combining consumer-centric packaging and impactful cause-related marketing.  

Rob began his career as a Public Affairs professional with the Dow Chemical Company. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and a graduate of ABI’s executive MBA, a joint program between The Wharton School & the INSEAD Business School. Rob lives in St. Louis with his wife Marilyn, their two daughters Lauren & Lindsay, and their dog Ginny.
