SGS Purchases Package Design Center

SGS Inc. has formally announced that they have entered into an agreement to purchase The Package Design Center based in Dallas Texas .
 
The Package Design Center provides design, production art and brand identity services to leading consumer package goods companies in North America .
 
This alliance will allow the companies to better service global packaging customers and further continue to build their North American presence. The companies will merge their operations into a brand new state of the art facility. Collectively they will be able to bring a complete "Design to Print"® solution to their client base. The facility will combine design, art, photography and pre-press in an integrated environment, providing a completely managed process from concept to press.
 
"Customers are continually looking for solutions that effectively manages the supply chain and graphics process to bring consistent predictable results to the packaging buyer. The two companies will bring together their collective competencies to deliver an integrated graphic solution to the industry," said Hank Baughman, SGS President. Timing for the completion of the merger is expected for March 31, 2001 .
